Georgetta's Teaching Style & Approach
I work with students on a supportive, energetic, and friendly, but professional, level. I want students to feel comfortable and positive when learning, so they can have the freedom to create and express themselves.
I believe good learning happens when you captivate the student and listen to their needs. I am not a teacher just only to give instructions, I want my students to take the knowledge they received in my classes and apply them uniquely to their work. This makes the student a bit of a creative leader themselves. I teach painting, but I also teach learning.
My classroom is really like a second home for me, therefore it is clean and organized, but fun and creative. I want my students to feel like it is their home too.
My classroom dynamic is one of acceptance, sharing, supporting, promoting, and always growing through exploration and knowledge. Respect for our studio and materials are important, too -- this means keeping the work space clean and safe.
I offer students a materials list that I created with various art materials from local stores. Students can also purchase my ART - POLI line of paints. During the first session, I give students handouts from my painting book, PAINTING FOR EVERYONE©, that describes what to look for in a good quality paint, brush, and canvas. I also do classroom demos, showing the results of different supplies.

I was fortunate to have gone to some of the finest schools and had some of the world's finest instructors. But Georgetta still stands out as one of the best I've taken lessons from. -- Mouni Reddy
