Known as Seattle's premier code school, Code Fellows teaches classes in front-end, back-end, and mobile development languages since 2013. In every course, get hands-on development experience, complemented by collaborating with teams to build apps in order to expand your practical skills to be industry-ready.

Code 101: Explore Software Development

In this one-day workshop, you'll learn what it looks like to be a software developer through a day-long immersive course for beginners that focuses on front-end web development technologies.

Code 102: Intro to Software Development

If you’re ready to get unstuck and move beyond the concepts covered in Code 101, come work with experienced developers who can help guide you through your learning. Join us for our NEW Code 102! You’ll receive 30 hours of instruction as you blast through the prework for Code 201, while getting a tour of the tools and techniques of modern developers.

Code 201: Foundations of Software Development

Get used to writing syntax and pushing code as you learn the basics of web development through HTML, CSS, Javascript, and the tools and best practices used by software developers around the world.

Code 301: Intermediate Software Development

What’s the technology behind launching a web app and working with a software development team? In this course, you will go beyond HTML, CSS, and JavaScript syntax and learn how to launch a web app, collaborate on projects, use advanced frameworks and libraries, and work with basic algorithms and data structures.

Code 401: Advanced Software Development in Python

Students will learn to write clean, well-tested, advanced Python code using industry-standard software engineering patterns. They will study the foundational structures of programming, from object-oriented principles to advanced topics such as Django, Docker, and Data Science.

Code 401: Advanced Software Development in Java with SpringMVC & Android

Students will learn to write clean, crystal-clear, well-tested, advanced Java code using industry-standard software engineering patterns while building servers with SpringMVC and mobile apps with Android.

Code 401: Advanced Software Development in Full-Stack JavaScript

Learn to build full-stack applications. The first four weeks focus on building back-end web applications with Node.js. Weeks six through nine, learn to build web apps with modern front-end libraries and frameworks. This course goes in depth into the core competencies of JavaScript, object-oriented programming, and functional programming. Get hands-on practice in test-driven development with agile tools.

Code 401: Advanced Software Development in ASP.NET Core

Students will learn to use Visual Studio 2017 to create ASP.NET MVC Core applications and work with Azure to deploy the applications onto a live server. The course focuses on fundamental computer science concepts like object-oriented programming, data structures, and the foundations of Microsoft’s ASP.NET Core Framework.

Ops 101: Explore Ethical Hacking & Cybersecurity Careers

In this one-day workshop, get hands-on practice with the tools and techniques of penetration testers and ethical hackers. Get a taste of the Code Fellows cybersecurity program, learn how to find and exploit computer systems, and explore cybersecurity career pathways.

Ops 102: Intro to Computer Operations

If you’re new to configuring computers, complete Ops 102 to get an introduction to how computers work! Learn system interfaces, identify and install hardware components, and practice deploying Windows and Linux operating systems to build foundational skills that will kickstart your career in technical operations.

Ops 201: Foundations of Computer Operations

Learn to support technology operations by resolving issues with hardware, software, and virtual or cloud systems. In this hands-on course, you will deploy and troubleshoot Windows and Linux operating systems in various virtual and cloud environments.

Ops 301: Networking and Systems Administration

Gain hands-on Systems Administrator skills in this exciting course that follows the journey of the fictional Globex Corporation as it grows from a startup to a multinational enterprise with fully-functional network and information systems.

Ops 401: Cybersecurity Engineering

These are the most intense courses offered at Code Fellows. Students come in with various backgrounds and leave with the training and skills they need to excel as cybersecurity professionals. Ops 401 courses require prior experience in IT operations, whether through preceding Code Fellows courses, self-study, or on-the-job training.
